Aethon and Blue Ocean Robotics introduce the new Automated Robotic Delivery System TUG to the healthcare industry

The healthcare industry is under constant financial pressure to find new solutions that can improve working environment and the quality of patient care. That is why Aethon in a RoBi-X partnership with Blue Ocean Robotics introduced the autonomous delivery robot, TUG, to the European healthcare industry. The robot transports scheduled and on-demand hospital deliveries saving the staff’s time that they can now devote to their patients.

UV-Disinfection Robot – the new solution to increase patient safety

Each year approximately 50,000 Danes catch an infection during hospitalization and an estimated 3,000 people die from infection related complications. For Denmark that results in USD 162 million preventable annual expenses. The numbers are much higher for USA – USD 30 billion and USD 600 million for Australia. With variable sources of infections there is a great need for effective disinfection processes.


ReconCell – A reconfigurable robot workcell being developed in R&D partnership

To be effective, research and development (R&D) projects require close collaboration and knowledge exchange between universities and private companies. The consortium consisting of 4 research institutions and 5 companies introduced to the manufacturers the new reconfigurable assembly workcell, ReconCell. The team of researchers and business experts took a challenge of creating a new, fully reconfigurable autonomous robotic workcell for fast setup of automated assembly processes in small- and medium manufacturing enterprises (SMEs).


INHANCER – Collaborative selling of complex robotic solutions

When the reconfigurable workcell, ReconCell, was introduced to the manufacturing industry, the I4MS consortium behind faced some challenges in the sales process due to the complexity and innovative aspects of the workcell. This extended research and development partnership (R&D) has resulted in a new and collaborative sales solution called Inhancer.

Public–private partnership brings a new robot into the healthcare sector

New hospitals and healthcare facilities in Denmark are being rebuilt and modernized during the coming years. DEKO Partitions Ltd. is one of the leading companies in Europe producing and supplying demountable systems, glazed partitioning solutions, and door systems. Can children learn to program robots in kindergarten?

Robot technology has taken child care centers in Odense, Denmark, by storm. Children aged 3-5 are learning how to program using the modular and playful robots Cubelets. Together with Blue Ocean Robotics, students from the University College Lillebaelt have started a project aiming at giving preschool children tools for developing coding skills.
